17/12/2009
At Monday 14th December’s meeting of the GBGB Board, the Directors received and accepted a nomination for Norah McEllistrim to represent owners and trainers as the Racing Practitioner Director, jointly nominated by the committees of the Greyhound Trainers’ Association (GTA) and the Federation of Greyhound Owners Association (FBGOA). The seat was left vacant by the recent death of former Director Stuart Locke-Hart.
Maurice Watkins, GBGB Chairman said:
“The Board unanimously accepted Norah’s nomination and I am looking forward to working more closely with someone who is clearly passionate about the sport’s future, greyhound welfare and is keen to represent the interests of both owners and trainers.”
Norah McEllistrim, Greyhound Trainers’ Association Chair said:
“It is a new challenge for me to take over the role so excellently fulfilled by Stuart Locke-Hart since the formation of the GBGB last January. I have the well being of all trainers and breeders at heart and am keen to getting around the table to protect those interests.”
